Toby Green

Hello, my name is Toby and I am thrilled to share my
experience with you. I have been a part of the summer camp community for multiple years, starting as a Field Hockey instructor and working my way up to a group leader position. Last summer, I had the privilege of being an Assistant Group Leader for the largest division at my camp, and this year I am excited to run my own division.

Beyond the campgrounds, I am also an Avon County Field Hockey coach and the Coach of Mendip Hockey Club Juniors, where I also serve as the captain of the Mendip Mens A’s team. Through my years of working at summer camp and coaching, I have developed strong leadership skills, including effective communication, motivation, and ensuring the well-being of those around me.

Although I initially started on the field hockey pitch, my favourite spot at camp is the boat pier, where I often hear the best stories about what my campers have been up to. The connections I make with people and the opportunity to impact the lives of others is what brings me back to camp each year. My passion lies in getting more people to camp and providing them with enriching, life-changing experiences, just like I have had.

I worked directly alongside Toby as a counsellor, and we even lived together. Toby was well respected by counselors and campers alike and he had a natural talent for working at camp. – LWD

Toby is a hardworking and supportive person to work for. If you ever had an issue, he would do his best to support you and create a solution as soon as possible. – Callum Galbraith
